A crime review meeting was held under the chairmanship of DSP Chamkani Circle Muhammad Ashfaq Khan.
A statement issued here stated that the meeting was attended by SHO Chamkani Police Station Ismat Khan, investigation officers, investigators and other relevant police officials.
During the meeting, DSP Muhammad Ashfaq Khan reviewed the overall crime situation in detail and received a briefing on cases registered at the police station, cases under investigation, challaned cases and pending matters.
Special focus was placed on serious and heinous crimes. The DSP directed investigation officers to conclude all under-investigation cases within the stipulated timeframe and ensure the early arrest of proclaimed offenders and absconding accused.
He issued strict instructions to eradicate the menace of drugs, effectively curb aerial firing and launch a comprehensive crackdown against criminal elements. He also directed that search and strike operations be intensified and the patrolling system made more effective.
DSP Chamkani instructed officers to ensure prompt redressal of public complaints, timely registration of FIRs, transparent and merit-based policing, and strict implementation of the directives issued by senior officers.
