He said that, on a daily basis, the officials of Islamabad Capital Police are receiving guidance from doctors through the digital clinic, which has the facility to connect them with various specialist doctors.
The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, has implemented several measures for the welfare of the police force, and the activation of the e-Health Clinic is one such initiative aimed at providing quick and easy medical facilities for the force.
Through this system, police officials can get direct assistance from digital clinic doctors via their smartphones 24/7, and also book appointments with specialist doctors online. The facility of all specialist doctors is available in this system.
Paramedical staff are available at tele-booths round the clock, and senior doctors are available online at these booths. Islamabad Capital Police personnel can call the helpline number 03-111-100-969 at any time and receive guidance from doctors about any health-related issue. In case of an emergency, doctors will visit their homes and provide medical facilities, and all associated fees will be paid by the police department.
The IGP Islamabad emphasized that police personnel face health risks such as heart attacks, blood pressure, and mental stress due to tough duties and law and order situations, and this system will help to improve their health facilities and mitigate such risks.
He further stated that this system is the need of the hour and will help to ensure timely medical checkups and treatments for police officials.
The purpose of this system is to provide the best medical facilities to the police personnel, alongside other welfare initiatives, he added.
