PTI secretary general Asad Umar while declaring the Election Commission (EC) biased and prejudiced has said people have no trust that this EC can hold election in neutral and transparent manner.
“we have been criticizing EC since our tenure. We accepted the decision of Supreme Court (SC) in letter and spirit. Criticizing the decisions is constitutional right and this way the institutions don’t become weak, he remarked.
The poor man spends 20 years in quest of justice but the court opens at night for the powerful, he underlined.
Every day an ally of the imported government starts saying that it is not acceptable to it, he observed. This government can not run. Let us go to the people.
To a question about Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) support he said there are video proofs that we did not appoint our man as CEC. Imran Khan did not want to appoint our man. CEC was also appointed under this thinking. But what attitude we are seeing it is clear from it that it is not neutral election commission. We have been raising question about the attitude of Election commission since several months and not from last week.
We neither tried to remove Chief Justice by constituting Quetta bench nor we sent goons to attack. We accepted SC decision in letter and spirit. Criticizing the decisions is constitutional right. This does not weaken the institutions, he added.
