ISLAMABAD
Election Commission (EC) has issued notification of PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali as senator.
He was elected unopposed senator on December 8. Overall 3 candidates had filed nomination papers. Abid Sher Ali, Ahsan Afzal Khan and Abdul Jabbar were included in these three candidates. Ahsan Afzal and Abdul Jabbar had withdrawn their nomination papers, therefore, Abid Sher Ali was elected senator unopposed. No one from PTI had filed nomination papers. The seat had fallen vacant due to death of PML-N senator Irfan Siddiqui.
