ISLAMABAD
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Monday sent Toshakhana Reference against former Prime Minister Imran Khan to the Trial Court to initiate Criminal Proceeding against the PTI Chairman. The ECP had disqualified Imran Khan in the same reference earlier, for allegedly falsely declaring his assets. On Monday, country’s top electoral body sent the reference to District and Session Judge for further proceedings in the case. According to details, ECP has sent the Reference to District and Session Judge as per sections 137, 170 and 167 of the Elections Act.
