ISLAMABAD
Electricity tariff is likely to be enhanced by Rs 4.40 per unit for next three months. According to media report NEPRA will hear petition on February 14. The increase in tariff will be made under head of quarterly adjustment. An additional financial burden of Rs 82 billion will be shifted to the consumers due to this increase.
According to context of application of ministry of energy FESCO has sought increase of Rs 9.44 billion, PESCO Rs 11.60 billion, MEPCO Rs 15 billion, LESCO Rs 15.10 billion and QECO Rs 10 billion.
