Engaging minority communities in sports activities a positive step: Ali

Peshawar Mayor Haji Zubair Ali has said that engaging youth of the minority community is beneficial for mental health and wellbeing, adding that the city government will encourage and improve the ability of the community in sports at all levels.
He said that the district government is employing all possible efforts to equip young players from minority communities of the provincial metropolis with sports equipment.
Haji Zubair Ali expressed these views while addressing a ceremony as a chief guest of Maharaja Ranjit Singh Cricket Tournament played at Islamia College Ground.
Malik Mehralhi, Minority Member, Sardar Parvinder Singh, other chairmen and a large number of people participated in the final of the match contested between Kohat City Zalmi and Peshawar City Star.
On this occasion, Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali gave the winning team the winning trophy and Rs50, 000 in cash and distributed medals among the players.
He said that the minority will be given better sports facilities and all kinds of facilities will be provided to the minorities.
Sardar Parvinder Singh, the organizer of the Ranjit Singh Cricket Tournament, thanked Mayor Peshawar Haji Zubair Ali.
