Director Excise and Taxation Mardan region, Fawad Iqbal said that he is starting a special campaign for registration of vehicles in Mardan region from tomorrow which will continue till the end of this month.
“Action will be taken against unregistered vehicle owners after this date”, he added. He expressed these views while giving a briefing to the media at Mardan Press Club. Director Excise and Taxation said that on the special instructions of provincial Minister for Excise and taxation Mian Khaliq, and Secretary Fayyaz Ali Shah and DG Akmal Khattak, they are trying to achieve the target of 920 million across the Mardan region.
He said that a one rupee registration scheme for vehicles from 660 cc to 1800 cc has been started since two years for the convenience of the citizens. Fawad Iqbal said that the special campaign for registration of small and big vehicles, including unregistered motorcycles, is starting from Thursday 16th Mat and will be continued till May 30.
He added that in the first stage this campaign was started in Mardan district which will be extended to the other districts of the region. He said that with regard to this campaign of registration along with other stakeholders, the bargainers will also be taken on board to make the campaign successful.
