District administer, Khyber seized exam cheating materials from a number of booksellers in Landi Kotal Bazaar last day to ensure transparent conduct of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) exam to be scheduled in next month.
Under the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Awami Agenda, a team led by Assistant Commissioner, Landi Kotal Adnan Mumtaz flanked by Tehsildar Temour Afridi and others officials took the action on the eve of metric exam, according to a statement.
They examined the bookshops and checked their stationeries and other materials, the statement said.
During the search various kinds of pocket guides were seized to be utilized in the coming 9th and 10th exams, official informed.
The administration directed owners of books and stationery not to sell cheating materials to students.
As per the statement those found guilty of it would be dealt as per law.
Speaking on the occasion AC Adnan Mumtaz said that on the strict direction of CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa operation had been launched against the sellers of the exam cheating material.
He urged the parents to join hands with them to discourage booty mafia and to make certain transparent conduct of matric exams.
