Director General Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Mahmood Aslam Wazir said that instructions have been issued to the officers of Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to ensure revenue recovery of the province and achieve revenue targets. He said that timely payment of taxes was our national duty and all taxpayers and institutions should play their key role in the development of the province by paying their due tax arrears on time.
In this regard, on the direction of Director General Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Faisal Burki Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO-II) Property Tax Peshawar and Ijaz Khan Excise and Taxation Officer (ETO-VI) Property Tax Peshawar held an important meeting with Director General Administration Service PESCO (Board of Governors) regarding property tax dues.
On this occasion, the Excise Department issued a final ultimatum to PESCO to pay billions of rupees in property tax dues. It is pertinent to mention here that PESCO is in arrears of above than Rs. 1.14 billions in respect of property tax.
The Excise department furthered that if the dues were not paid within three days timeline the respective property units of PESCO will be sealed.
