Excise Police Sindh seizes 140 kg of chars in two operations

KARACHI: Sindh Excise Police have foiled the attempt to smuggle a large quantity of drugs to Karachi and recovered 140 kilograms of chars in two separate operations, arrested three accused and seized two vehicles used in smuggling. According to the details, in the first action, the excise team, led by Excise Inspector Qamaruddin Sial, while checking at the Rohri Excise Check Post, recovered 100 kg chars. Chars was recovered from Oil Tanker No.C-9176. The accused Sardar Akbar Afridi has been arrested and a case has been registered and investigations are underway. The tanker used in smuggling has also been impounded. In the second operation, Excise Inspector Hasan Ali Dashti along with his team conducted the operation at Ubaro Excise Check Post on Sindh Punjab Border Kamboh Shaheed National Highway. 40 kg chars was recovered from car number AMH-024 while two accused Ayaz Raza and Muhammad Younis have been also arrested and a case has been registered against them.
