During Ramazan, physician Thursday warned that ‘Hypertension’, called the “silent killer” can stealthily affect the whole body from brain to toe and advised people to reduce fast food, deep fried items and excessive use of bakery products and maintain a healthy lifestyle to avoid serious complications such as heart attacks, kidney failure and vision impairment.
While speaking to a local media channel, Consultant Physician Prof. Dr. Omer Sultan warned that hypertension is increasingly affecting young adults, with many individuals in their 30s already showing cardiac strain and early heart complications.He pointed out that unhealthy eating habits, including excessive consumption of fast food, fried items, and sugary snacks, are fueling this rising trend among the younger population.
Prof. Dr. Sultan explained that high blood pressure can silently impair vital organs, such as the heart, kidneys, and brain, often long before any noticeable symptoms appear.
