As part of a rehabilitation program, learning, cleaning kits and other facilities were supplied to the 20 government –run schools in Landi Kotal on Tuesday.
It is to be stated here that in 2022 floods had damaged scores of government schools in addition to losses to private properties.
In this connection a gathering was organized in Government Primary School Gul Ahmad Kelley, Walibaig Khel, Landi Kotal that was attended by Assistant Commissioner (AC), Irshad Mohmand as a chief guest besides other officials,teachers and students.
Under the supervision of Sarhad Rural Support Program (SRSP), district administration and district education department 289 learning, cleaning kits and books were distributed among the students and teachers of government educational institutions.
Addressing on the occasion AC Irshad Mohmand thoroughly highlighted the importance of education and facilitated the SRSP and Educational department for providing learning and security kits and initiated fruitful training sessions for the teachers.
He informed the participants of rehabilitation schemes of schools, initiated by the provincial government.
With support of foreign commonwealth fund, rehabilitation of the first phase of the state –run will be completed at the end of 2023.
