PESHAWAR: Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party Muhammad Faiq Shah said the politics of disarray has brought only destruction in the country. He called for a broad-based dialogue to bring economic and political stability. Shah in a statement here on Wednesday asserted it has been necessitated that all political forces and stakeholders come to the negotiation table to end chaos and bring political and economic stability. He said politicians and rulers must learn history and past mistakes. The ATP chief emphasized the need to break the chain of slavery and make Pakistan an economically self-reliant country. Shah said effects of IMF harsh conditions have started seeing everywhere in Pakistan as prices have burgeoning manifold. Neither democracy flourished nor miseries of people removed and once again people have cheated with fake promises and clams, he added. Who is responsible for the current economic and political mess? Who is running government and state affairs? When will elites and powerful segments come under the tax-net? When will defeat the law of ‘might is Right’, and one man show? The party leader said it has made it difficult for common man to earn livelihoods for poor families. What should poor people do, whether they will pay electricity bills with higher tariff, indirect taxes or fulfill daily expenses? This is a question which people are asking from rulers. Shah said everyone has come and plundered Pakistan and escaped from accountability. Only powerful people gain justice and they easily get clean chit in graft cases, he added. On the other hand, he added that poor and powerless people neither get justice nor provide them any relief. The party leader said the government is focusing on only imposing tax after tax, and these tax-money spending on rulers’ luxuries, which is highly deplorable. Our Correspondent
