Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has called for holding cabinet members accountable before general masses.
Chairing a meeting here at the party’s central secretariat on Saturday stated that members of the federal cabinet, who had been honored with performance certificates, should take their assent from the people.
He added people have the best litmus paper of judging.
Faiq noticed the performance of Foreign Office is highly satisfactory despite that certificate wasn’t awarded to it. This is also a game of nepotism, he added.
The ATP chairman went on to say that the quest of government and opposition is fighting for gaining power.
He made it clear that performance cannot be measured until delivering economic and social justice to people.
He criticising the ruling parties and opposition had failed to nurture democracy within their ranks.
Faiq asked: “How can they bring democracy to the whole country”?
He noted that the condition of road infrastructure and planning is extremely bad.
He questioned: “On what grounds are these ministries being awarded performance certificates?
Mr Shah emphasized that all ministries should directly present their performance before the general masses and must ask all their questions, which is a national obligation.
He continued to say they [ministers] are being paid salaries and incentives through public tax money so they should be held answerable before the people.
The party leader viewed it as a good omen to award appreciation certificates on performance but public questions are also the most important, which needed to be replied appropriately.
He asked the ministers to come on national media and answer all questions of the general masses in order to appraise them what kind and how many public delivery records they had established so far?
He vowed his party will continue carrying out an accountability process for imposition of public authority.
