Faiq lauds security institutions for FATF grey list exit

Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has paid rich tribute to national security institutions for taking out Pakistan from grey-list of the global watchdog FATF – Financial Action Task Force, saying that these institutions gave unmatched sacrifices in elimination of terrorism.
The legislation and performance made by the previous government has assisted to exit Pakistan from the grey-list, Mr Shah said while commenting on FATF decision regarding removing Pakistan from its grey-list, according to a statement issued here on Saturday.
It is noted here that yesterday, the FATF, decided by consensus that Pakistan has completed all substantial, technical and procedural requirements of both 2018 and 2021 Action Plans.
As a result, Pakistan has been removed from the list of jurisdictions under increased monitoring, with immediate effect.
Faiq called upon everyone to work for pulling out the country from present political and economic instability.
Pakistan cannot be afforded any protest and anarchy, he added. The ATP chief lauded that Imran Khan has demonstrated wisdom and called off the protest.
All issues are political so they should be resolved through negotiations, he stressed.
Shah said people’s problems are countless owing to which they are erasing, saying that neither justice nor authority were delivered to them.
He maintained major reforms should be brought for the provision of justice to people.
Faiq expressed high optimism that now financial institutions, government and investors would take full advantage following Pakistan taking out from FATF grey-list in order to accelerate pace of progress in the country.
The party leader noted unrest and instability could have dragged any nation back to the century. He said a strong economy is the guarantee of the integrity of the country.
He, therefore, requested all for joint efforts/struggle for bringing political and economic stability in Pakistan.
He reminded his party is raising its voice under this vigorous struggle.
Shah asked youth to come forward because this country belongs to you and the future is also attached with them.
