PESHAWAR, November4: Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party, Muhammad Faiq Shah has welcomed the government decision of incentivizing small and medium scale industries in electricity tariff and asking the step should also be taken for masses to give them relief.
Chairing a meeting here at the party’s central office on Wednesday, Faiq Shah said that the growing inflation has hit miserably almost all segments of the society, but elected representatives and government functionaries didn’t realize the miseries of the masses.
He observed that the persistent stagnation in the national economy cannot change conditions of the poor masses. He said the hovering internal and external loans as well as circle debts have caught the pace of development in the country that has intensified poverty, hunger and starvation.
Faiq Shah hailed that the decision to give relief to small and medium scale industries in electricity tariff is a welcoming step of the government. However, he stressed the need of extending relief to poor masses through such initiative.
The ATP chief asked to make bound industries to show growth in exports, production and employment in order to get desirable objectives from the government move.
He added that it is an unfortunate fact that the elite class and exploitative segment have overwhelmed the industries, which didn’t pass on relief to poor masses despite incentives by the government to their manufacturing units.
Faiq Shah said that the relief couldn’t be beneficial until supremacy of rule of law in the country. He said the prices of electricity, gas and essential food commodities are continuously surging up, which was completely unjust and unfair with poor masses, because of which they have faced enormous difficulties over growing expenses with less income, he added.
The ATP chairman warned the incumbent rulers for dire consequences of their anti-masses policies and initiatives. He vowed that his party will bring ground realities before the general masses.
