Chairman, Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) Muhammad Faiq Shah has stressed it is essential that to take collective efforts to escape country from political distortion and division.
Faiq while addressing a gathering of workers organized on eve of Eid ul Fitr here on Thursday emphasized a message of unity and an organized nation should need to be given through a joint board, comprising all institutions.
He added that a message of patriotism should be conveyed to youth in order to remove anarchy and detachment.
Shah opined it is the prime obligation of all political parties along every segment of the society that they must make vigorous and concerted efforts for unification and organizing society and state.
He viewed the Pakistan Army is a institute of integrity, warning that if any voice would rise against it that it could be beneficial to the foe.
The major issue is social distortion and dis-organisation, which is created by political leaders and influential segments, Shah noted.
He said ideological and thinking guidance is the prime solution to all issues.
The ATP chairman emphasized that youth should move forward with zeal that had been shown during Tehreek e Pakistan [Pakistan’s Movement] and to put the country on a path of sustainable progress, peace and prosperity.
He reaffirmed that his party would support and stand by them.
Meanwhile, addressing a separate corner meeting of party workers/activists from different parts of the country here after Eid holidays on Thursday, Faiq noted the intervention of political objectives and personal interests in the religion are giving birth to intolerance and extremism in the society.
Therefore, he asked the politicians to abstain from further division and confusion among the nation in the name of religion.
He stressed that religious values should be nurtured through character and practical deeds. But, he noticed there is using religion for political lust, business and survival, which was an organized conspiracy against the country’s unity.
He asked the government and opposition to move ahead with a proper code of conduct. He noted that public issues and rights have always been put into the backburner.
Faiq observed the nation has been dividing on eve of Eid, which has given birth to an atmosphere of revenge, sense of insecurity, enhancement, a volume of extremeness and intensification.
Shah said the government should prove through its deeds then it will gain a public trust and valuable status.
He added it is a symbol and testimony that political parties have only dearer their interests, which strongly condemned, and appealed to eminent religious clerics and scholars to guide the nation on sensitive matters.
He said the use of immoral activities against each other is highly harmful to the whole society, which would create a dangerous division.
Faiq said his party believes in unity, faith, discipline and national progress and moving ahead by carrying this message.
