PESHAWAR
Amun Taraqqi Party (ATP) chairman Muhammad Faiq Shah stressed that the government should enforce policies on an emergent basis to promote agriculture, education and economic sectors to make the country economically self-reliant.
Chairing a meeting here at the party’s central secretariat on Friday, Shah noted reverse gear has incurred huge loss to the whole nation.
For the sake of economic stability, we should free the whole nation from clutches of loans, IMF and imports-centric economy.
He asked to give priority to indigenous resources, reserves and exports for making the country economically self-reliant.
We have a strategy and line of action, for which we need a joint endeavor, the ATP chief said.
Shah said his party had played a role in creating awareness and role in improving business, investment environment and enhancement of the country’s exports, which can be given a joint form.
The ATP chairman while commenting on an interview of President Dr Arif Alvi said that the president should use his constitutional and national unity position and together all institutions and political parties by shaping them in a form a board.
He hoped that if this idea was adopted, it could evolve a collective thinking and policy and all segments will participate in power and political process.
He stressed that the doors of the president’s house should be opened for eradication of division, grouping and hatred.
Shah said the president’s house in the current situation can play a role in bringing reforms, elections and a transparent system.
The party leader said if he was invited to meet the president he would present this ATP plan of political, economic stability and socio-economic uplift of the people.
The ATP chairman said if public segments would support us then we will give an organized system.
This line of action and strategy has been presented to COAS and President of Pakistan through written communication, Shah informed.
He said a complete briefing in this regard will be given, if a direct meeting would be held with them.
He said the president should think by becoming impartial and a symbol of federation that how he can fulfill his constitutional duty and obligations, without it, no chance for moving ahead and gaining progress.
