Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party said it is a dire need of hour to set aside political differences and vested interests.
The party leader called upon all forces and institutions to be gathered under a single forum to drive the country out from the current depressing and challenging situation.
Let’s come together to drive out the country from a mire of problems, shah stressed while talking to different delegations in the party central office on Friday.
He called for restoring the sanctity of parliament and the true essence of democracy.
Shah blamed the government, rulers, parliament, especially the current way of politics and democracy for adding to public’ miseries.
How would restore public confidence in the present political, judicial and parliamentary system?
When will the government and parliamentarians think about public issues and when will they make legislation in the best interest of people and country?
Who will fix the economy, overhaul the system and ensure social and economic justice to People?
Who is running the whole system?
Why is treasure-filled Pakistan lagging behind in all fields?
Faiq said these are all questions, which are asked by people from rulers, so they must be answered.
The ATP chief said reforms are essential to alter the present oppressive system.
He called for efficient utilization of natural resources to make Pakistan economically self-sufficient and get rid the nation from clutches of foreign financial lenders, i.e IMF, WB.
Shah continued to say that a vague situation is prevailing in the country.
He added economic and political instability once again intensifying amid tug of war for power gain and protection of personal vested interests.
Keeping in view the current scenario in the Middle East and the rest of the world, the party chief asked the government to revisit its foreign policies and set priorities which should be better for the country and people.
