Muhammad Faiq Shah, founder and chairman of the Amun Taraqqi Party United Nations Security Council’s resolution for ceasefire in Gaza, urged the international community to ensure its immediate implementation.
In a statement issued here on Tuesday, Shah urged the international community to ensure implementation of the resolution, adding the ongoing Zionist oppression against innocent Palestinians in Gaza must be stopped permanently. The ATP chief said thousands of women and children had been martyred in Israel’s barbaric attacks.
Hospitals and refugee camps were deliberately bombed by Israel in Gaza, which was highly deplorable.
Shah said Pakistan would continue to support Palestinian brothers and sisters for creation of a Palestinian state on the basis of pre-1967 borders.
Similarly, he remarked Kashmir issue should be resolved according to the aspirations of the Kashmiris and the resolutions of the United Nations.
Highlighting the significance of improving regional trade, Shah said that trade along with mutual relations with the countries of the region should be strengthened, and Pakistan’s geographical position and resources should be utilised.
He called for an enabling environment to promote local and foreign investment in the country. He also demanded revisiting policies and making them in the best interest of people and the country. Touching on issues of general masses, Mr Shah asked cabinet members, instead of restricting to only lip service and statements at talks shows, should take proactive steps to provide relief to people, especially in this month of Ramazan.
On the other hand poor people are worried about rising power and gas tariffs, while prices of essential food items have sharply risen, adding to their miseries, the ATP chief remarked.
Shah expressed grave concern over increasing law and order situation elsewhere in the country.
He emphasized synergy between government and security institutions to thwart evil designs of enemies.
