In a crackdown, Faqirabad Division police have busted three notorious gangs involved in street crimes and arrested 15 accused involved in various crimes.
According to a statement issued here on Wednesday, Faqirabad Police have launched a comprehensive crackdown against the street criminals and busted three gangs.
The statement said that actions were taken under the supervision of ASP Faqirabad Syed Talal Ahmed Shah.
On the instructions of SP Faqirabad Osama Amin Cheema under the supervision of ASP Faqirabad Syed Talal Ahmad Shah, SHO Gulbahar police station Umar Afridi, SHO Faqirabad police station Kamran Marwat and SHO Phandu police station Aqib Khan busted notorious street crimes gangs and arrested 15 members.
Police said that the arrested suspects are the residents of Garhi Qamardeen, Badhbir, including those from neighboring Afghanistan, who are involved in stealing motorcycles and valuable mobiles from citizens at gunpoint along with parked motorcycles whenever they get a chance.
The arrested suspects of dangerous gangs have confessed to several incidents during the initial investigation, from whose possession eight motorcycles, 53 valuable mobile phones and weapons used in the incidents were also recovered.
The arrested suspects are also involved in smuggling valuable mobile phones to the neighboring country of Afghanistan, including selling the snatched and stolen motorbikes and mobile phones at exorbitant prices.
Police said that the arrested suspects were also involved in dealing of stolen motorcycles and smart-phones.
SP Faqirabad Division Osama Amin Cheema has said that under an effective strategy, comprehensive operations have been launched against the criminals involved in street crimes.
