Farmers encouraged to report misconduct in department

Secretary Agriculture, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Bakhtiar Khan reaffirmed provincial government’s commitment to prioritizing and resolving challenges faced by farming community.
During an online open court held on Saturday, farmers from across the province regstered their complaints directly to Secretary, who responded by issuing immediate directives to relevant departments to address and rectify these issues without delay.
Dr. Bakhtiar said that under guidance of KP Chief Minister and Chief Secretary, a new service delivery system has been implemented within Agriculture Department. This initiative was designed to streamline provision of facilities to all farmers, ensuring that support was accessible and efficiently managed.
He highlighted that a primary focus of this transformation was promotion of modern technology alongside enhanced guidance for growers, which was expected to significantly reduce corruption, irregularities, and misuse of administrative powers.
Concluding the session, Secretary encouraged farming community to act as partners in governance by identifying any institutional shortcomings or misconduct within the department.
He assured public that strict legal action would be taken against those found responsible for compromising quality or delivery of agricultural products, signaling a zero-tolerance policy toward inefficiency and malpractice.
