Father-son duo arrested in Peshawar jewelry theft case

Acting on the special instructions of SP Cantt Division Aitzaz Arif, the West (Gharbi) Police Station team, led by SHO Noor Muhammad Khan and supervised by DSP Cantt Circle Arbab Naeem Haider, successfully arrested two suspects involved in a high-profile jewelry theft within three minutes of the operation.
The suspects, a father and son, were accused of breaking into the house of moneylender Imran Shahzad in Fawara Chowk and stealing gold jewelry, diamond rings, watches, precious stones, and bracelets. The theft occurred in the absence of the moneylender.
The case, reported by the victim, prompted authorities to form a special investigation team. Using modern scientific methods and technical expertise, including CCTV footage analysis, the team traced and arrested the suspects, identified as Shakeel Ahmed and his son Muhammad Ahmed.
During the operation, police recovered daimond rings, watches worth millions of rupees, precious stones (carats), bracelets, and Rs. 890,000 in cash obtained from selling stolen jewelry
The police claimed that recovered items were returned to the victim, and further investigation is ongoing to uncover additional details.
