FBR sealed six mega stores in Peshawar on POS failure

Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) sealed six mega stores in the provincial capital over non-fulfillment of Point of Sale (POS) requirements. POS is an invoicing system, introduced by the FBR, for documentation of sales.
According to a handout released here on Thursday, the checking was done by the Assistant Commissioner In-land revenue Syeda Mamoona and Deputy Commissioner In-Land Revenue Muhammad Tariq.
She visited Warsak Road, Nassir Bagh Road, and Ring Road along with her team. Seven Super Store near Fata secretariat Warsak Road, Iqbal Foam and Sofa in Tehkal-Bala-Peshawar, and Five Star Foam Tehkal-Bala, were sealed.
In a separate inspection, Deputy Commissioner In-Land Revenue Muhammad Tariq sealed Welcome Pharmacy, Awami Super Store on Ring Road due to POS of the FBR violation.
Chief Commissioner In-Land Revenue Regional Tax Officer Peshawar Khurshid Ahmad Khan Marwat and head of the Peshawar Zone Shaheed Mahboob has made an appeal to all retailers of Peshawar to connect their business with POS computerized systems.
They said that the business community should play their due role in strengthening the economy of the country.
