ISLAMABAD: Petition seeking increase in number of minorities seats in National (NA) and Provincial Assemblies (PAs) has been filed in Federal Constitutional Court (FCC). The petition has been filed by Nasib Masih advocate making federal government and secretary law and parliamentary affairs respondents. The petitioner has taken the plea Lahore High Court (LHC) has not made correct decision on the petition seeking enhancement in the number of minorities seats in assembly. The seats of minorities should have been increased under population census which was neglected. It was further said in the petition representation has not been given in women seats in proportion to increase in population. Online
