Federal Minister inaugurate OPF school in Parachinar

Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistan and Human Resource Development Sajid Hussain Turi has said that overseas Pakistanis have always played a key role in the development of the country.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF) School in Parachinar, the district headquarters of Kurram on Sunday, the Federal Minister said that he was well aware of the plight of Pakistanis living abroad for which he was working very seriously.
Efforts have been intensified for the release of Pakistanis and in this regard, he has also been met the Saudi ambassador.
Some Pakistani imprisoned in jails abroad have been released, he revealed.
“OPF was playing an important role in providing quality education to overseas Pakistanis and other children in the country”, the federal minister appreciated the services of OPF in the field of education by saying that “The establishment of OPF School in Parachinar will provide quality education to the children in the tribal area”.
Sajid Turi reiterated his commitment that the present government would spare no effort to provide facilities to the overseas Pakistanis and their families in all walks of life and address their grievances While referring to the problems faced by the tribal people, he said that a project would be started soon to supply natural gas to Kurram district from Gurguri gas plant while work on installation of 40 MV transformer for uninterrupted transmission of electricity would also be started soon.
He said that steps were being taken to increase the counters along with other facilities at Taftan border for the convenience of the visitors.
The construction of the proposed express highway would open new avenues of development in all the tribal areas, adding that under CPEC, trade would be extended to Central Asia through railway line, which would change the destiny of the region, he added.
Earlier, the Federal Minister formally inaugurated the OPF School at Parachinar. Apart from OPF officials, a large number of local elders were also present on the occasion. At the occasion, GD OPF and Additional Deputy Commissioner Kurram also addressed the gathering.
