The Federal Investigation (FIA) Agency’s Cyber Crimes Wing has conducted raids in different districts of Punjab including Faisalabad and arrested more than 15 people on charges of spreading false rumors against heads of various institutions and national integrity. Hundreds of mobile phone SIMs and mobiles have been recovered.
Arrested persons were using various fake accounts, for vulgar language about the country’s security agencies and the judiciary.
More than 20 people from different districts of Punjab have been arrested, domestic and foreign phone SIMs have been recovered from their possession.
According to FIA, they were involved in campaigns against the higher judiciary, Officers of FIA’s Cyber Crime Wing have started investigation from the arrested persons.
Online sources have learned that billions of rupees were being distributed monthly to the members of PTI’s social media cell by the former government.
The work was spread to different countries, more arrests are expected
