Islamabad: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has sought records of alleged illegal recruitments, purchase of bulletproof vehicles and uniforms in WAPDA. According to the documents available with Online, FIA Lahore has sought the records of recruitment, purchase of uniforms and purchase of bullet proof vehicles. FIA’s Anti-Corruption Circle Lahore is investigating the matter, investigation first informed the WAPDA General Manager Human Resources by writing a letter and then FIA team visited WAPDA headquarters. FIA wrote a letter to WAPDA asking that the record of recruitment of security staff of Dasu project should also be presented, the answer sheet and interview record of the recruited staff should also be brought. The Ministry of Defense has also stopped WAPDA from purchasing uniforms resembling the uniforms of sensitive organizations, due to the incompetence of WAPDA officials, uniforms of prohibited colors were being purchased from Nishat Mills Limited.
