In a significant development, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned former prime minister Imran Khan once again in a personal capacity.
Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has been directed to appear at the FIA headquarters on August 1 at twelve o’clock noon. This summons comes as part of an ongoing investigation into cipher case with potentially far-reaching implications.
The former prime minister has been given explicit instructions to bring all the relevant documents related to the case. This marks the second time that the former premier has been called in by the FIA, as he was previously summoned on July 25 for questioning.
During the last inquiry session, the former prime minister underwent rigorous questioning, lasting for over two hours. In addition to Khan, two other prominent figures in PTI, Asad Umar and Shah Mehmood Qureshi, have also been summoned by the FIA.
