ISLAMABAD: Governor State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) Jameel Ahmed on Monday called on Finance and Revenue Minister Ishaq Dar here at Finance Division. During the meeting, the two stakeholders discussed economic revival and stability of country. They overviewed the financial steps taken to bring country’s economy back on track. Moreover, financial and Monetary Policy was also discussed during the meeting. The SBP Governor said during the meeting that both the Rupee and foreign exchange reserves were gaining stability due to continuous administrative efforts of government and SBP’s policy steps. Ahmed apprised the minister of different macro-economic policy steps taken by SBP to achieve sustainable developmental goals. He said that the SBP was thoroughly committed to endorse current government’s policies for country’s economic revival as per its legal mandate. The Finance Minister on this occasion lauded steps taken by SBP for country’s economic uplift. He acknowledged State Bank’s regulatory role bring stability to country’s foreign exchange reserves.
