LAHORE: Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali has said that fine arts not only reflect and educate society but also create hope for betterment. He expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of the 4th Anna Molka Awards and art exhibition organized by Punjab University College of Art and Design on Monday. On this occasion, PU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood, Principal CAD Dr Samina Naseem, former principals, faculty members and a large number of students were present. The participants paid tribute to the founder of the College of Art and Design and renowned artist Anna Molka. In his address, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that fine arts play a positive role in taking the society forward. He said that positive thinking promotes positive trends in society therefore; fine arts will be promoted in PU. He said that the works of artists in the painting exhibition are commendable. He said that fine arts are a good medium of expressing emotions. Dr Samina Naseem said that Anna Molka founded the college in 1940. Online
