In a crackdown, police claimed to have arrested five suspects allegedly involved in various crimes.
According a statement issued here on Thursday, following the special instructions of SP City Tayyab Jan a crackdown carried out against the criminals in order to maintain peace and order in different areas of the city and arrested five suspect criminals.
Police said that the arrested persons have been identified as Mohsin, Ibrahim, Mohib, Shamshad and Sahil.
The arrest was made under the supervision of DSP Mukhtiar Ali and SHO Police Station Agha Mir Jani Shah Javed Marwat.
Javed Marwat said that during a crackdown against the criminal elements in Circular Road, Sheikh Habib, Kohati Road, Nahar Ghara and other adjoining areas various criminals were arrested.
During the successful operations, a total of two kilograms of hashish, half a kilogram of ice, two pistols, two bottles of liquor and several magazines and cartridges were recovered from the possession of the accused.
Various cases have been registered against all the accused and investigation has been started from different angles.
