Security forces have conducted 3 intelligence based operations in KP killing 5 terrorists and arresting 2 others.
According to ISPR Security forces conducted three separate intelligence based operations on April 30 and May 01 in different areas of KP wherein 5 Khwaraj wee killed and two were arrested. .
ISPR said an intelligence based operation was conducted in Bajaur district, on reported presence of terrorists. During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location and after an intense fire exchange, three of them, including high value target Fareedullah, were killed. Another intelligence based operation was conducted in general area Dossali, North Waziristan district. Two more terrorists were killed in exchange of fire. .
Third successful operation was conducted in Mohmand district, security forces successfully busted a terrorist hideout and arrested two militants, including HVT Lal Ameer alias Ibrahim.
A large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from these terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities
With the forces also recovering weapons and ammunition from the terrorists, sanitisation operations were being conducted to eliminate any other militants found in the area, added the ISPR.
President, Prime Minister and interior minister have paid tribute to armed forces on successful operation.
