Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has said Pakistan reaction has remained responsible despite provocative actions by India following Pahalgam incident.
He further said India has failed to provide evidence of any kind on Pakistan involvement in Pahalgam incident and it is hatching conspiracy to link Pakistan to Pahalgam incident.
According to press release issued by PM House media wing Turkiye ambassador Dr Irfan Naziroglu called on PM Saturday in PM house.
PM expressed good wishes for President Tayyip Erdogan during the meeting.
He made mention of his recent visit to Ankara on April 22, 2025 wherein the two leaders had talked on moving ahead Pakistan-Turkiye relations in diverse sectors.
PM expressed thanks to president Tayyip Erdogan for his support to Pakistan in the prevailing peace and security situation in South Asia besides his demand for peace in the region.
PM said Turkiye support for Pakistan is reflective of historical and deep brotherly relations between both countries and their people.
Pakistan reaction has remained responsible despite Indian provocative actions after Pahalgam incident, PM added.
PM reiterated that Pakistan has always condemned terrorism in its all kinds and manifestation. Pakistan has rendered unprecedented sacrifices in anti terrorism efforts. This includes loss of 90000 lives and economic loss more than 152 billion US dollars.
The Prime Minister emphasized that India had failed to share any evidence and was falsely trying to link Pakistan to the Pahalgam incident.
PM said India had yet to respond to Pakistan’s offer to have a credible, transparent and neutral international investigation to ascertain the facts behind the Pahalgam incident. Pakistan would extend full cooperation in such investigation and if Turkiye joined it Pakistan would welcome.
He said Pakistan is now fully focusing on its economic recovery and growth for which it needed peace and security in its neighborhood.
The Turkish Ambassador informed the Prime Minister that Turkiye supports Pakistan stance.
Expressing solidarity with Pakistan he urged restraint in the prevailing crisis for de-escalation and maintaining peace and security in South Asia.
