Flag hoisting ceremony held in Traffic Headquarters

A flag hoisting ceremony was organized by City Traffic Police Peshawar on the occasion of Pakistan Day at Traffic Headquarters Gulbahar in which Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat hoisted the flag and saluted.
SP Headquarters Asif Bahadur, SP Cantt Khan Khel, SP City Muhammad Saeed and other traffic officers were also present on the occasion. After hoisting the flag, Chief Traffic Officer Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat offered prayers for the security of the country and welfare of the nation.
Similarly, in connection with 23rd March, a flag march was carried out from Peshawar Hayatabad to Motorway Toll Plaza under the leadership of SP Headquarters Asif Bahadur.
Addressing the function, CTO Abbas Majeed Khan Marwat said that 23th, March,1940 is the day of renewal of the promise and this day has a long history. He directed the traffic authorities to provide information on alternative routes for providing travel facilities to the citizens on Pakistan Day. In this regard, regular citizens would also be informed on YouTube and FM radio as well.
He further said that the traffic authorities should take stern legal action against the one wheelers and also discourage those involved in over speeding. He directed the traffic officials and personnel to be present at their points and not to allow any rush in the city to avoid traffic mess. The citizens should celebrate Pakistan Day but take special care of their lives and the lives of others so that no traffic accident would take place, he added.
He said that motorcyclists should ensure the use of helmets and drivers should use seat belts and directing traffic officials and personnel to perform their duties honestly and strict action would be taken against the negligent persons as per law.
