Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday thanked Iranian leadership for its continuous support to Pakistan on Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
Talking to his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on the sidelines of third Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Afghanistan’s Neighboring Countries in Beijing, the Foreign Minister said Pakistan desires to transform bilateral relations with Iran into a strong economic and trade partnership.
The Foreign Minister while stressing for early meeting of Pakistan-Iran Joint Economic Commission said relations between the two countries are deep rooted in common faith, culture and history. Shah Mahmood Qureshi thanked the Iranian leadership’s consistent and unwavering stance on Kashmir dispute.
Iranian FM congratulated Pakistan for successfully hosting 48 meeting of OIC’s Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM), recently held in Islamabad.
Shah Mehmood Qureshi on this occasion expressed satisfaction over growing bilateral relations between the two countries. He noted that exchanges made at highest levels on political, economic and intelligence fronts are testimony of stable bilateral relations.
The Foreign Minister noted that Pakistan wants to convert its bilateral relations with Iran to strong economic and trade partnership.
