Pakistan strongly denounced the cross border terrorist attack on security check posts in Mohmand Agency, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said on Monday. In a statement, Foreign Office spokesperson NafeesZakaria said our valiant soldiers sacrificed their lives for the security of the country and their people. Terrorists from across the border in Afghanistan had attacked three check posts in Mohmand Agency Sunday night. According to reports, Pakistani forces gave a befitting response to the attack and killed over ten terrorists in the exchange of fire. Five personnel of the security forces also embraced martyrdom in the exchange of fire.
Chief of Army Staff General QamarJavedBajwa appreciated Pakistan Army’s befitting response to the terrorist attack. He said the terrorists are a common enemy and coordinated efforts are required to check free movement of terrorists on the border.
