Follow Prophet Ibrahim’s Sunnah but take care of each other’s health, President Advises

Islamabad : President Dr. Arif Alvi on Saturday said that people should celebrate Eid and follow Prophet Ibrahim’s Sunnah, but should also take care of each other’s health.
The President took it to Twitter and said that covid cases are surging, most cases were reported on Friday, highest after July 9, the President said.
Dr. Arif Alvi directed the nation to follow corona SOPs and guidelines when people go out for Eid prayers and sacrifice their animals. “People should wear masks, carry their Prayer mat with them to mosques and maintain social distancing”, the president advised people.
Arif Alvi said that strong nations emerge with discipline and Pakistanis will show that they are a disciplined nation. On the other hand, Pakistan reported 39 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 986,668. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 22,760 on Saturday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 2,783 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 10,865 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 5,697 in Sindh, 4,380 in KP, 787 in Islamabad, 598 in Azad Kashmir, 319 in Balochistan, and 114 in GB.
Furthermore 354,103 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 349,890 in Punjab, 140,293 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 84,399 in Islamabad, 28,884 in Balochistan, 21,811 in Azad Kashmir and 7,288 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Pakistan has so far conducted 15,345,158 coronavirus tests and 49,247 in the last 24 hours. 918,329 patients have recovered in the country whereas 2,508 patients are in critical condition.
