MARDAN: Former Khyber TV cameraman Suleman Khan died in a traffic accident. His funeral prayer was offered at Syed Jalal Bukari. He was laid to rest at his ancestral graveyard. Large numbers of people including journalists attended his funeral prayer. On Sunday late Suleman Khan was returning home after attending a ceremony when a vehicle in a wedding procession hit his motorcycle on Charsadda Road, causing him to fall to the ground and sustain serious injuries. Later on he was admitted at Mardan medical complex (MMC). He later succumbed to his injuries. Suleman Khan was laid to rest at Abai Cemetery on Monday. Fateha will be offered for the deceased at Pakistan Chowk, Botia Mohalla. Meanwhile, a condolence meeting of Mardan press club was held on the tragic death of cameraman Suleman under the chairmanship of Mardan Press Club President Muhammad Riaz Mayar. The meeting was attended by General Secretary Pervez Khan, senior journalists Musarat Khan Asi, Ashraf Khan, Khurshid Wahab, Shahab Akbar and others. The meeting termed Suleman’s death a great loss to the journalistic community and paid tribute to his services. Prayers were offered for the deceased’s forgiveness, elevation of ranks, and patience for the family, and an appeal was made to the provincial government for financial support for the family.
