ISLAMABAD: Accountability Court (AC) has acquitted former Prime Minister (PM) Shahid Khaqan Abbasi due to withdrawal of LNG reference against him by NAB. Former finance minister Miftah Ismail and Abdullah Khaqan have been acquitted in the reference as well. Judge Nasir Javed of AC Islamabad took up NAB reference for hearing against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others. Deputy Prosecutor NAB Azhar Maqbool appeared in the court. Counsels for Shahid Khaqa Abbasi were also present in the court. NAB filed application in the court seeking withdrawal of its LNG reference against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and others. NAB while announcing decision on NAB plea for withdrawing the reference acquitted all the accused including Shahid Khaqan Abbasi from the reference. Former finance minister Miftah Ismail and Abdullah Khaqan Abbasi were also acquitted from reference. Online
