Police on Saturday claimed to have arrested four suspects allegedly involved in illegal weapons, narcotics, and other crimes in the Phando area of the provincial capital.
The arrested suspects have been identified as Shakeel, Mushtaq, Imran, and Ahtesham, were found in possession of 609 grams of ice, a Kalashnikov, a pistol, and a magazine. The police have registered a case against the suspects and started investigation.
The operation was part of the police’s efforts to combat crime in the district, following a surge in violent crimes, including murder, kidnapping, theft, and robbery, reported in Peshawar in 2024.
