On the initiative of member provincial assembly, Iftikhar Ali Mashwani, a free medical camp was organized for prisoners in Mardan Central Jail. Superintendent Central Jail Mardan Najam Abbasi welcomed MPA Iftikhar Ali Mashwani and the team of doctors for organizing the medical camp.
The free medical camp was inaugurated by Member Provincial Assembly Iftikhar Ali Mashwani. Medical superintendent (MS) District Headquarters Hospital Mardan Dr. Javed Iqbal and Mardan Medical Complex (MMC) Director MMC Dr. Tariq Mehmood and other 20 specialist doctor’s male/female participated in the free medical camp.
About 1200 female/male inmates were examined and diagnosed by specialist doctors in the jail and prescribed medicines were provided free of charge. Paramedical staff and doctors assisted the incarcerated patients. Iftikhar Ali Mashwani saw all the stages including examination of patients, supply of medicines and expressed his satisfaction.
Talking at this occasion Iftikhar Ali Mashwani said that it is the responsibility of the state and institutions to provide security, health and education and other facilities to the prisoners in the prison.
He argued that the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is working hard in the health sector for the common citizens.
