Chief Minister (CM) Punjab Maryam Nawaz has said free medicines will be provided to 2 lac patients at their door step.
“The project for providing free medicines was started by Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif. Medicines were provided to hepatitis, heart and TB patients at door step. But during the previous eras, this project was abolished instead of extending it. This way people were deprived of the facility of free medicines. Delivery at home became a dream. However we have launched it and have extended its scope to the entire Punjab, she said this addressing a ceremony here Saturday.
I myself will go to certain homes to give medicines to them , she said adding two months stock will be delivered at homes. The medical check up of the patients will be conducted again after two months. If the medicines are needed again then their stock will be distributed among the people, she remarked.
She remarked injustice is done to this nation when PML-N government is dissolved.
We will launch about 200 clinics on wheels in coming days, We are launching first state of the art cancer hospital in Lahore. Its outdoor should be started within one year, she held.
We have launched 32 field hospitals and these are mini hospitals, she underlined.
