Funeral of martyred constable held with full official honours in Bannu

Funeral prayers of martyred constable (driver) Aamir Khan were offered with full official honours at Iqbal Shaheed Police Line, as police and civil officials paid tribute to his sacrifice in the line of duty.
The constable, who had sustained critical injuries in a tragic incident in Hawayed a few days earlier, embraced martyrdom after succumbing to his wounds. His sacrifice was hailed as a symbol of bravery and devotion to duty.
The funeral was attended by DIG Bannu Region Sajjad Khan, DPO Bannu Yasir Afridi, Deputy Commissioner Fahim Khan, Deputy Commander 116 Brigade Colonel Talat, along with SPs, SDPOs, senior officials, police personnel, and a large number of relatives and locals.
A guard of honour was presented at the ceremony, while floral wreaths were laid on the martyr’s coffin as a mark of respect.
Speaking on the occasion, DIG Sajjad Khan and DPO Yasir Afridi expressed profound grief and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family. They paid tribute to the fallen officer, describing him as a courageous and dedicated policeman who laid down his life for the protection of the country and the restoration of peace.
