Gang involved in street crimes arrested, looted valuables recovered

Police claimed to have busted a notorious ganginvolved in street crimes and arrested five members on Friday, said a handout.According to details, under the effective strategy and supervisionof SP Warsak Division Arshad Khan operation against the street criminals hasbeen intensified.
SHO Mathra Police Station Javed Marwat during animportant operation led by DSP Muhammad Ishaq arrested five members of a ganginvolved in robbing citizens at gunpoint.The members of the gang, as per police statement, havealso injured a number of citizens during the robberies.
The gangs are also involved in injuring the policemen byfiring at a raid conducted in the limits of the above-mentioned police station.
The arrested members were identified as Nauman, Izhar, Intekhab,Izhar Ali, and Muhammad Ayub.SHO Javed Marwat told reporters that the gangs areresidents of suburban areas who used to rob mobile phones, cash and motorbikesand other valuables at gunpoint.
25 valuable mobile phones, 15,000 cash, two stolenmotorcycles and five pistols were also recovered from the possession of theaccused. During the second operation, an attempt to smuggle alarge quantity of drugs through a vehicle failed and arrested two persons.
The arresteda person has been identified as Siddiq resident of  Khyber district.During the important operation, along with recovering 25kg of hashish, the carry box was also seized by the police.
