A talented student of Government Girls Degree College Takht Bhai, District Mardan, Hina Khalid has honored Tehsil Takht Bhai and especially her college by securing second position in the annual declamation contest organized by the National Accountability Bureau, Peshawar under the awareness campaign against the menace of corruption here in the metropolitan city.
The annual speech competitions aimed at raising awareness against the menace of corruption concluded at NAB Peshawar. These competitions were held at school, college, and university levels in both Urdu and English languages in which students from across the province participated.
Hina Khalid, a skilled third-semester BS English student from Government Girls Degree College Takht Bhai, secured second position at the college level in the Urdu speech competition throughout the province.
Speaking to the media, Hina Khalid credited her success to the hard work and guidance of her college Principal Professor Bibi Salma, and three lecturers: Nasaha Khan, Asma Ali, and Sarah Nawaz. She expressed sadness over the absence of the Principal and Lecturer Nasaha Khan on this joyous occasion due to their personal engagements saying she deeply wished they could have been present to share in the moment.
Appreciating NAB’s efforts, she said that such speech competitions help students showcase their talents. She emphasized that speaking on a topic in front of an audience is not easy, but opportunities like these boost students’ confidence.
Hina Khalid highlighted that extracurricular activities, especially speeches, enhance students’ communication skills, enabling them to achieve success in their respective fields, thereby bringing pride to their parents and educational institutions.
She also urged parents not to deprive their daughters of education and to equip them with knowledge so they can contribute to the nation’s development, support their families, and secure a better future for themselves.
