KP Department of Secondary Education and Star Hydro Power Limited signs MoU

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Department of Secondary Education and Star Hydro Power Limited for the construction of a Girls’ High School in Dalola, Abbottabad. The ceremony took place at a local hotel in Islamabad, with South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan, Park Ki-joon, as the chief guest.
Attendees included Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Secretary of Education Masood Ahmad, CEO of Star Hydro Power Mr. Bong Rok Oh, and District Education Officer Abbottabad Ayesha Saeed, among others. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the national anthems of Pakistan and South Korea.
In his address, Star Hydro Power CEO Bong Rok Oh emphasized the importance of promoting education in underprivileged areas. He stated that educating women is key to building societies, as it has a positive impact on entire generations.
South Korean Ambassador Park Ki-joon termed the agreement a positive step, noting that it would strengthen relations between Pakistan and South Korea. He added that Star Hydro Power would continue its welfare projects in remote areas, with support from the South Korean government.
The MoU was signed by District Education Officer Ayesha Saeed and Star Hydro Power CEO Mr. Bong Rok Oh, marking a significant step towards promoting education in Pakistan.
