77915 driving licenses have been issued by DLA, NHMP, since 31st December

The Inspector General, Inam Ghani has issued special directives to conduct practical driving tests for issuance of HTV-B and HTV-PSV driving licenses, regularly from Monday to Friday, on daily basis to enhance facilitation of general public. Previously, National Highways and Motorways Police (NHMP), Driving Licensing Authority (DLA), Islamabad practical test for issuance of HTV-B / HTV-PSV driving licenses were conducted only on Thursdays, which was an inconvenience for aspirants.
In addition to above, all applicants for driving licenses including Pakistanis with International Driving Licenses will be required to qualify all assessments in accordance with the rules and regulations to maintain the standards of the NHMP Driving Licensing Authority.
Stern steps are being taken at Drivers Licensing Authority to ensure issuance of driving licenses to only eligible and skilled drivers after successful completion of prescribed procedure. IG, Inam Ghani said that all Pakistanis are entitled for processing and issuance of driving licenses regardless of their cities and provinces of residence. 77915 driving licenses have been issued by DLA, NHMP, Islamabad since 31st December, 2021.
In addition to huge numbers of male candidates, a considerable number of female candidates are also expressing keen interest in obtaining driving licenses from NHMP DLA because of its safe environment for both genders. The officers especially examiners of DLA, NHMP have earned their reputation by virtue of their untiring efforts, transparency and impartiality in assessment of driving capabilities.
A special monitoring mechanism has been developed to enhance efficiency of officers and wipe out the chances of all possible evils including bribery, favoritism, nepotism etc. All out efforts are being made to maintain and improve the quality of services as well as to ensure implementation of standardized mechanism for processing and issuance of driving licenses.
