Unidentified armed men destroyed a government school using explosive materials in Bannu district, police informed on Thursday.
The incident took place in village Ghora in Baka Khel area, where unknown militants planted explosives at Government Primary School Noor Jan Baka Khel. The explosives detonated, destroying the school building. Police reached the scene immediately after receiving the report and a search operation has been launched by police and security forces in the surrounding area.
No casualties have been reported so far. Investigations are underway to identify and apprehend those responsible.
